Tentative Fields for Spring 2019:

6U, 8U, 10U, and 12U practice and play matches at Bud Beasley Elementary.
14U and 18U practice and play matches at Shadow north field 2 (Shadow Mountain Sports Complex).
Teams may practice ONLY during their assigned time slot at their assigned half field.
“Unauthorized use of (other) City of Sparks Fields may result in the loss of permits.”

During our spring program:

Check the Regional Calendar for all dates for the season: coach meetings, trainings, matches, picture day, etc.

Players remain in the same division as the Fall, AND there is always a possibility of CO-ED teams.

Every team is to provide 1-2 certified coach(es). Teams without a qualified volunteer coach will have all of their matches cancelled. Although those teams may practice instead, we would rather have someone step up to volunteer.

Each 10U through 18U team is to provide, at least, 1 certified referee. Matches refereed in the spring are NOT counted towards the qualification for the fall Bonus Year-End Tournament. Most 8U teams should provide 1 certified referee.

Practices can begin as early as March 18-21, and practices are optional during spring break.
6U and 8U teams practice 1x a week, and 10U through 18U teams practice 2x a week. Teams may hold one additional practice (on a Friday or Saturday) if a match is not scheduled during that week.

Matches will be scheduled from April 13 to June 8, except for Memorial Day weekend… Matches will usually be on Saturdays, and away/travel matches can be common for 12U through 18U… Matches may be subject to cancellation for reasons not limited to lightning, smoke, closed fields, or safety… There is NOT a bonus end-of-season tournament in the spring.

There will be individual & team pictures for all teams. There will NOT be trophies/awards issued during the spring season.

AYSO is a volunteer run, not-for-profit organization. Please consider/expect to volunteer and take the appropriate trainings that are offered.  Players are unable to participate in this season without volunteers like you. It takes a lot of dedicated people to make AYSO possible, and the expectation is 1 volunteer for every 4-5 players in our region.  If you are interested in participating, send us an email and apply online.
