We understand that some of our families are facing economic hardship or uncertainty with the current COVID-19 restrictions. So, this is where we’re at. Let it be for financial hardship or in case of the unknown, we are ready to help with full refunds for our spring 2020 season. This is how it works:
1. Send an email to Shannon, our volunteer, at email@example.com Please make sure to include: your name, your child’s name, your amount paid (we could look this up), and your mailing address.
2. We will be able to put most $90 refunds back to the card in which you paid. If you paid an additional $20 to AYSO this spring for the National Player Fee, that last $20 will take a bit longer. AYSO National will send those spring $20 NPF refunds directly to you, and we will let them know. Shannon our volunteer will work on these refunds every 2 weeks to get it back to you. We are not planning on keeping any of the initial transaction fees either.
3. If your card will not take the refund back, we have secured enough paper checks to send you a check in the mail for those $90 fees. Please allow 2 weeks for any refund, although it may happen sooner.
***SPRING SEASON UPDATE
On April 7, we plan to make a final decision on the state of the spring 2020 season. This is to allow time for the COVID-19 situation to develop, additional changes from officials, and policy updates from AYSO National. To protect all our kids, volunteers, and spectators, all AYSO programs are postponed until April 13 or April 20. If we cancel the season by April 7, then we will be issuing full refunds as described above. As usual, we will let you know National AYSO continues to update details and the tips for prevention of COVID-19 at https://www.aysovolunteers.org/coronavirus-update-and-prevention-tips/
We have attached a .pdf file on our www.sparksayso.org website for additional information regarding what the spring 2020 soccer season may look like and our fall 2020 soccer updates.
Thank you to all of you for being patient and those of you whom have reached out to us in support of our response. It is greatly appreciated. We will continue to keep you updated as we know more. My thoughts and prayers continue to go out to all of you, those being most affected by COVID-19, and our frontline & healthcare workers. We will continue to let you know more as the situation changes as we ride this information wave with you.
